I often thought of curling as the dorkiest sport known to man, right up there with bowling.

It seems to require no athleticism. It’s for people who cannot compete in a physically demanding sport. It’s for the nerds.

But this Winter Olympics, I have been proven wrong. I finally watched a couple of mixed doubles matches, and came away completely floored by the skill, the strategy, and the composure of professional curlers.
