Everyone Needs To Chill Out Over Kash Patel’s Team USA Hockey Cameo

Kash Patel is getting dunked on by right and left over his appearance at Team USA’s gold medal hockey match against our 51st state, Canada.

After Team USA nabbed gold in overtime, Patel, who’s a big hockey guy, was filmed slugging some Micky Ultras with our awesome players in the locker room. Apparently, the players invited him to join them. Still, a social media firestorm ensued. (RELATED: US Thrashes Canada In Olympic Gold Medal Game On Washington’s Birthday)

One Democratic congressman, Eric Sorensen, tried to join the dunk fest. Unbeknownst to many, Sorensen has a very weird infatuation with Canada and has repeatedly threatened to move there because of American politics. He also supported Canada at a White Sox/Blue Jays game and pretended he was Canadian. It wouldn’t shock me at all if he were genuinely upset that the USA beat Canada on Sunday.

Should the top law enforcement official of the most powerful country in the world be throwing beers back with the boys in full view of the public? Probably not. Should he act a bit more dignified, considering his position? Probably.

But, at the end of the day, who really cares? If you have beef with the FBI, there are way bigger fish to fry. A couple of moments on camera will disappear as quickly as they went viral.

And regarding the taxpayer-funded jet use, I have criticized Mr. Patel in the past over his reportedly using a taxpayer-funded jet to attend his girlfriend’s concert, and remarks he made about former FBI director Chris Wray also using a taxpayer-funded jet in 2023. But what’s wrong with a top-ranking U.S. government official attending our country’s gold medal match? If anything, there should be at least one official from the Trump administration in attendance. Going to a concert and representing the American government at the Olympics are two entirely different things.

Also, Patel was reportedly visiting Italy to meet with local Italian law enforcement officials, who were providing security at the Olympics, and he had a meeting with the U.S. Ambassador to Italy.

So, yes, everyone needs to chill out.
