A blue state’s new flag makeover is almost as bad as Cracker Barrel’s pathetic rebrand.

Following in the footsteps of Minnesota, the state of Massachusetts is replacing its old seal and flag with an ugly, minimalist, sanitized version that erases its own history and  “traumatizing” imagery of Native Americans after years of debate. Massachusetts is also nixing its old motto, translated from Latin as, “By the sword we seek peace, but peace only under liberty.” (Subscribe to MR. Adopted on December 13, 1780, the state’s current seal features a shield that displays a dignified Algonquian Native American holding a bow and arrow.
