Swindon Town turn in best display of Holloway era at Crewe
Swindon Town were quite simply fantastic in all aspects against Crewe Alexandra in what must have been the best display of the Ian Holloway era.
After a series of down years for Swindon, it was a joyful experience to be at the Mornflake Stadium to see this team turn on the style and blow Crewe to bits.
Now, the general upturn under Holloway has given plenty of great performances. Grimsby Town home and away last season, for very different reasons, Carlisle United away, or even Bradford City at home, for all the drama of it, were various highlights. But the Crewe performance felt different for a few reasons.
In those games, it did feel like Swindon were able to catch a team on a bad day, or, in the case of Bradford, a man down. But The Railwaymen actually looked pretty good in the first half. The opening 45 minutes were a real........
