How Swindon Town's 2024/25 stats show hope for next season
Although Swindon Town failed to make a realistic push for the playoff places during 2024/25, their underlying data showed reasons to be positive about next year.
Following a disastrous opening 18 games to the season, which saw Swindon sit bottom of League Two in December, they have recovered in a big way and have given themselves a base to work off heading into the next season.
Under Mark Kennedy, Swindon greatly struggled to create and score chances, netting just 14 times in those 13 games and creating an open play xG per game of 0.77. This was also realised in them not creating many presentable chances as they created 1.15 big chances per game.
