The announcement of a hosepipe ban across Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire has not gone down well with Thames Water customers.

The utility company said that big spikes in customer demand during hot dry days and very little rainfall to replenish local supplies in the Thames Valley led to this restriction.

Here’s what you had to say on the matter.

Daniel Drury said: “Spray paint your hose camouflage then nobody can see it or it being used.”

Shaun Blow said: “They still haven’t found the water supply to my house in 20 years so they won’t be around anytime soon catching me using a hosepipe.”

Bob Harris said: “Swindon is just down the road from Cotsworld Water Park pretty much a stone’s throw from the source of the Thames, the lakes were not empty this morning. Short of water are we?”

Paul Barnes said: “Fix the leaks, you will save water.”

Trevor Whichello said: “Fact is it hasn't properly........
