Swindon passengers shared their public transport experience after a disabled pensioner raised concerns about inconsiderate drivers.

Suzanne Allen claimed that some drivers in Swindon are making it harder for her to get on and off Swindon’s Bus Company buses by not putting the ramp down.

She said this made her upset or nervous about asking for help, though the company says it ensures its drivers behave in a helpful manner to passengers.

Here’s what you had to say on the matter.

Claire Day said: “Saw something like this yesterday with an elderly man while two other drivers stood laughing so yes it’s believable and yes I did say something to all three, awful behaviour.”

Maisy McAdam said: “Sadly not a surprise, disabled people are often treated like they are an inconvenience.”

Rania Naqvi said: “I am not a frequent bus user any more in Swindon but I was a good five years back and am just horrified by all these stories! These people need someone to advocate for them and ask the council what they’re playing at!”

Ashley Marquez said: “There's only one amazing driver in Swindon Mr Gurnam Singh, he's a treasure and deserves an award for his services, nothing is ever to big or small for him and will help you in any way possible.
