Does Swindon need a new supermarket in the town centre?
News of Morrisons seeking an early exit from its lease to Regent Circus sparked a debate about the future of the site.
The supermarket became the anchor business to the £50m leisure and retail complex when it opened in 2015.
It recently announced it is seeking to negotiate an early surrender of its lease, which currently has a tenant break option effective from October 13, 2034, on six months’ notice.
A Morrisons spokesperson said that they were "hopeful this will be achieved in the next couple of months."

Neil Mercer said: “Anybody living in the Eastcott or wider area doesn't now have a supermarket within a short walk, having lost Morrisons, Sainsbury's and M&S.
“Aldi on the Magic Roundabout is a bit of a trek, Tesco in town is limited and overpriced and Co-op in old town can be an odd and frustrating place.
“That means lots more cars on the road heading out east and west to visit shops further afield, which just increases traffic, affecting everyone.
“This is a good example of why 15-minute cities is such a great idea. Supermarkets are part of essential infrastructure.”
