Crackdown on e-bikes and e-scooters in Swindon welcomed
Adver readers welcomed the police launching a crackdown on e-scooters and e-bikes.
Wiltshire Police has launched Operation Jetsom, which targets the illegal use of the vehicles across the county and aims to take them off the streets to protect the public.
From August 1, anyone who is stopped riding an illegal e-scooter or modified, high-powered e-bikes can expect to have it seized and destroyed.

Adam Jenkins replied: “You must remember when we (were) all kids riding on crossers (Motocross bikes) across fields in Penhill, also illegal, no one bothered because we wasn't toe rags robbing each other with knifes.
“What it is, is how parents are allowed to discipline their children nowadays - kids rule the roost.”
