This week saw the Senedd Cymru – Welsh Parliament pass the Welsh Government’s £27.5 billion budget proposals. The budget was passed after collaboration between Welsh Labour and Plaid Cymru.

The budget plans cover the 2026/27 financial year. The budget includes £1.2 billion more for public services and businesses than in the current financial year. The new allocation of money includes extra funding for councils and the Welsh National Health Service.
