July has been quite a month! Thank you to the people of Torfaen for their support in the election on July 4th. It is an extraordinary privilege to represent my home constituency, where I was born, grew up, and where I live with my family. I’ll work hard every day to repay the faith you’ve shown in me.

Following the election of a Labour Government after 14 years of the Tories, it was an honour to be asked by the new Prime Minister Keir Starmer to serve at the heart of Government. As Paymaster General and Minister for the Cabinet Office, I will lead for the Government on constitutional issues and European relations.
