'Reopening train station isn't just about transport'
At times, it feels like the people of Abertillery have been waiting for a train that will never come.
The town lost its station back in 1962, and since then promise after promise has been made that the line from Llanhilleth would be extended and Abertillery reconnected to the rail network. More than 60 years on and we seem at last to be making some progress.
I have raised this issue time and time again in the Senedd chamber. A station in Abertillery would connect the people........
