When Mark Drakeford won the 2021 Senedd Election, he believed he had a blank cheque in his back pocket.

In the Welsh Labour manifesto, it said that if they entered Welsh Government again, they would 'develop proposals to improve the representation of the people of Wales.'

It’s hard to argue against representation in a democratic system. Nobody would turn their nose up at that concept.

But what Labour used that clause as an excuse for is something far more extreme.

Since then, the Welsh Government has used that clause as cover to put 36 more Senedd Members in Cardiff Bay.
