Cwmbran residents have their say on how £20m funding should improve town

PEOPLE in Cwmbran have been sharing their thoughts on how they think a £20 million funding boost for "deprived neighbourhoods" should be spent.

Cwmbran is one of five towns in Wales to benefit from this scheme, which also includes Barry and Wrexham.

The money will become available in April 2025, and projects are expected to start in 2026.

Residents of Cwmbran have begun to voice their opinions on how this funding should be used to enhance their community, with thoughts ranging from improving entertainment to bringing new shops to the area.

Gemma Kenney expressed a desire for more entertainment options, saying: "Would be good to extend the area with the cinema and bowling for more options.
