City's escape room to make long-awaited comeback after years of hiatus
A city's first escape room is making a long-awaited comeback after a number of years.
The Escape Rooms Newport, which first opened in 2017, is relaunching in the city centre with a new venue and a special launch event after pausing operations in 2022 due to a combination of the Market’s refurbishment, the challenges of COVID, and new additions to the family arriving during lockdown.
Elinor "Ellie" Chopping, co-founder of The Escape Rooms Newport, said: "Chris and I met in 2019, when The Escape Rooms were already thriving.
"Our first two dates were at escape rooms—and for the third, I made him take on my own game while I watched behind the scenes.
"He passed the test, we married in 2020, and it always felt inevitable he’d one day join the family business."
The relaunch will be marked with a "Comedy Lock-In" event at The Stowaway Bar, The Corn Exchange, High Street, on........
