Strictly Come Dancing contestant Alex Kingston has issued a statement after her daughter revealed she was suffering from a “dislocated rib” during Saturday’s (November 22) Blackpool special.

During week nine, Alex and her professional dancing partner Johannes Radebe performed on the iconic Blackpool Tower dancefloor with a Couple’s Choice, scoring an impressive 35 points in total.

But a comment made by the actress’ daughter Salome over the weekend raised concerns among fans, as she posted under an Instagram video of her mum’s dazzling dance on the BBC iPlayer account: “so so proud!!! Slayed the dance floor, dislocated rib and all!!!”

This prompted the Doctor Who favourite to “reassure everyone that I am completely fine” as it is just a “minor” injury, and that she will be returning to rehearsal’s this morning (November 24) ahead of her Cha Cha Cha next Saturday (November 29).
