Mysterious mention of Gwent town appears in newly released Epstein files
The latest batch of documents released by the US Department of Justice has revealed an unexpected reference to Abergavenny within communications between Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
The documents are part of the ongoing public release of material seized during the long-running Epstein investigations include emails sent in August 2011 in which Maxwell mentions travelling to the Caribbean “via Abergavenny.”

In the exchange, Maxwell, using her familiar alias “Gmax,” asks Epstein whether he is in Paris or the Caribbean. She then adds that she is “going [to] Mustique Sunday via Abergavenny,” a detail Epstein does not acknowledge in his reply.
In a follow‑up message, Maxwell pointedly presses him, asking:
