Crowds of nearly 3,000 turned out to enjoy a day of music, food, and fun.

Bargoed Summer Music Festival lit up the town centre on July 12, drawing families, friends, and visitors in what became the town’s second major event of the year.

The festival saw a huge rise in footfall, with almost 2,000 more visitors than the previous Saturday.

Russell Jones Jr, one of the performers, said: "Seeing happy smiling faces is priceless to me.

"This is what music is all about, bringing joy, happiness and loads of dancing."
