Plaid Cymru has selected Lindsay Whittle to stand in the upcoming Senedd by-election in Caerphilly.

The Caerphilly County Borough councillor and campaigner will contest the seat on October 23.

He came a close second to Labour in last year’s Westminster general election.

Support for Plaid Cymru has increased in national opinion polls since then.
