EastEnders viewers will be pleased to see the return of a popular resident in Walford next week.

Patrick Trueman, played by Rudolph Walker, has been notably absent from recent episodes of the BBC soap.

It prompted fans to take to social media to question his whereabouts and what it means for his marriage to Yolande (Angela Wynter).

"Why is Patrick missing?" one person asked on X, formerly Twitter.
