Popular comedian Jon Richardson has reportedly "signed up" for the Great British Bake Off after "quitting comedy" and divorcing.

He announced that he would be hanging up his hat to pursue a career elsewhere after splitting from his wife of nine years.

The comedian and his ex-wife Lucy Beaumont previously co-starred in a comedy series called Meet the Richardsons.
