EastEnders fans have blasted BBC bosses for having "run out of ideas" amid the return of a villain to the show.

In shocking scenes last night, Lauren Branning and Peter Beale's engagement party was disturbed after Cindy Beale showed up unannounced.

During the bash at Harry's Barn, Peter could be sneaking off to make mysterious phone calls, leaving many fans curious as to what was going on.

However, just as George was giving a toast to the couple, Cindy showed up before quipping: "Don't tell me I missed the party."
