Two people were caught on camera throwing rocks at an elephant seal at Point Reyes National Seashore on Dec. 6, 2025. 

National Park Service officials are on the lookout for two people who were seen throwing rocks at an elephant seal at Point Reyes National Seashore. 

The incident was captured on video by a livestream camera on the afternoon of Dec. 6 at Chimney Rock, a popular site for elephant seal viewing, the Park Service wrote in a Facebook post Friday. According to the Park Service, the footage shows two people throwing rocks at an elephant seal that is lying down on the beach.

Several of the rocks that were thrown appear to have hit the seal,........
