And a wonderful time was had by all – I hope.

My deadline came before the Canada Day celebrations so am not able to give an update on the weather or how all the festivities went. I sure hope everyone shared the day with friends and family, food and drinks, music and laughter and went to bed feeling good about being Canadian.

We need to keep that feeling all year long and keep fighting for that which being Canadian stands – freedom, independence, acceptance, generosity, consideration, compassion… I could go on about what many other countries wish they were.

There are many things we have done for which we need to apologize and make amends in some form or other but I think as a country we have recognized our mistakes, tried to rectify, likely much too slowly, and correct our wrongdoings. But we still have lots of work to do.

Not everyone feels this, yet, so........
