Mid-January was an interesting TV watching time.

The State of Iowa caucus was held as was a couple of Hollywood award shows. Didn’t watch much of the Critics’ Choice awards when I realized there was no bleeping of language. As I have said before it is disturbing to see a favourite actor up there totally debasing himself and disrespecting everyone in the room including young children by being crass and obscene. Or supposedly intelligent, beautiful, bejeweled women, in lovely, glittery gowns, perfectly coiffed and made up, showing a lack of upbringing, class, elegance. Any regard I had for them or their work is gone. For me, the same loss of respect and admiration is true in real life.

I know, I know, been told before it’s only words and everyone talks like that these days but I just can’t help but feel disgust and shame for those who do.

I did watch the Iowa caucuses and Emmy Awards, which........
