The May Court Club of Chatham recently recognized half a dozen women who have made significant contributions to our community.

They are: Christine Baribeau, Margery Holman, Meagan King, Lori Marshall, April Rietdyk and Jan Wickett.

I won’t go into their many and varied accomplishments as you can find that elsewhere, and I’m sure these women are already embarrassed at their newfound celebrity!

I’ve had the chance to know a couple of these women over the years and I offer my heartfelt congratulations to all six of them, all of whom are well-deserving of such recognition.

However, I shall now piggyback onto their news story with a nod to the many women throughout our community and beyond who work tirelessly to make C-K and the world a better place.

There’s a well-known saying that, “behind every great man is a strong woman,” and I can’t argue that, but certainly women have been forging their own paths and........
