An induction range can heat water in seconds but still bake unevenly. Consumer Reports tested four models for cooktop control and baking

Induction cooktops heat water almost instantly, but that speed doesn't guarantee an oven that bakes evenly or cleans up easily. Self-cleaning performance, included extras and how a range's price stacks up against its features can differ quite a bit even between ranges that all handle the cooktop equally well.

Consumer Reports tested four induction ranges for cooktop control, baking, broiling and self-cleaning, so shoppers can find one that fits their kitchen and their budget.
