Every car owner knows how much vehicle maintenance can run up, especially if you ignore the problems for too long. But some car brands are saddled with significantly more repair costs than others.

Consumer Reports set out to identify the brands with the most expensive maintenance costs. It asked readers in its 2025 annual auto survey to detail how much they paid for oil changes, tires, and other repairs. (It excluded costs associated with collision repairs.)
