Many Bosses Have the Traits of a Great Leader. Does Yours?

Not keen on your boss? You are not alone. Most people are unimpressed with their bosses.

For example, a Society for Human Resource Management survey concluded that “84 percent of U.S. workers say poorly trained managers create a lot of unnecessary work and stress”. About two thirds of UK workers have thought of quitting because of their bosses – or have actually quit.

From this, it seems easy to conclude that many who end up in leadership roles just don’t have what it takes to be a respectable leader. If a typical boss had the personality of a great leader, then why would people dislike them in the role?

To offer one way to address this question, I combined a large database of occupational personality traits with historical records summarised by two AI models.

If you think today's bosses are nothing like the greatest leaders of hsitory, you’ll be surprised. But hear me out.
