Looking back over the past couple of weeks with all the baseball frenzy going on, I came to the conclusion that sports can bring us together. I am sure others have thought the same thing.

There was more Toronto Blue Jays merchandise flying around this country than birds in the trees. The looks on the fans’ faces in those huge stadiums in Los Angeles and Toronto made me smile. There was joy and anguish and there were some who closed their eyes not wanting to see what happened on that huge field.
Of course, these baseball games were between a Canadian team and an American team. It did not seem to matter that a lot of players were from the U.S. – it was the symbolism that counted – us against them.
And........
