More kids will benefit from life-changing treatment services at Five Counties Children’s Centre, thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough.

The foundation has given $600 to Five Counties, through a grant from the KMRA Fund for Women & Children. Five Counties will direct the funds to its Building Abilities for Life Campaign, which helps to reduce wait times for high-demand treatment services such as speech therapy and occupational therapy that benefit children and youth in our community.

“We’re happy to contribute to Five Counties through this grant,” said Jennifer DeBues, executive director of the foundation. “It reflects our commitment to support the community and help children and youth access important services. We’re pleased to play a part.”

Five Counties has been dedicated to supporting children and youth with physical, developmental, and communication needs for 50 years. Last year, Five Counties provided treatment services to more than 2,950 children and youth in Peterborough city and county.
