Ryan Thacker, 35, brandished a bottle and repeatedly punched another reveller when a disagreement broke out at Qube Bar on Prince of Wales Road.

Norwich Magistrates’ Court heard that the man he set upon suffered a deep laceration that required hospital treatment, and damage to his teeth, during the attack on September 29 last year.

Sarah Fiddy, prosecuting, said that father-of-four Thacker, who makes his living as a self-employed tattoo artist, had punched the victim in the face multiple times.
