David McCarthy, 29, and Wesley Faver, 25, are each charged with 20 counts of knowingly passing counterfeit currency.

Norwich Magistrates' Court was told they are said to have paid for everything from clothing and toys to food and cigarettes using fake Scottish £20 and £50 notes.

Charity shops, pharmacies, butchers and supermarkets were among the stores targeted over two weeks in August and September 2024.
