Jak Costello, 25, was warned all sentencing options including being sent to prison remain a possibility.

It follows a demonstration held outside the Brook Hotel in Bowthorpe, which currently houses asylum seekers, on July 26.

He was charged with assault following a police review of video footage of the event.

Costello, of Norwich Road in Costessey, pleaded guilty to a single charge of assault by beating.........
