Matthew Oarton, 39, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to four counts of theft from a shop, theft of a pedal cycle, possession of a bladed article and possession of cannabis.

The plea follows a series of incidents in Norwich that happened between January and July.

The first took place on January 3 when Oarton was spotted by an officer outside a home in Kett’s Hill wearing a bag on his back.
