The victim’s dad, Scott Mingaye, says he was with his three children at Sloughbottom Park on Saturday, April 5, when the incident happened.

He claims that he became alarmed when a group of boys approached his son, Oscar, looking for a fight.

"It all happened so fast, they threatened him and offered to fight him for no apparent reason whatsoever," Mr Mingaye said.

"It seemed to just be play fighting at first and I kept my eye on the situation and it all seemed to die down."
