Senior figure in Norfolk drugs gang which stashed cocaine in hedges due back in court

Marc Kane helped run the group which concealed their wares in hedgerows in secluded rural spots in Norfolk from where they could retrieve them when required.

The group was caught after police placed members under surveillance and monitored members.

Six members of the gang were put behind bars for a total of 27 years for their roles in supplying more than 17kg of cocaine worth more than £1.3m between March and August last year.

Among them was Ashley Youngman, 34, who together with Kane was a director of the Hideout café in Gorleston and one of the most senior figures.

Youngman, who has homes in Cliff Hill and Middleton Road, Gorleston, was sentenced to eight years and six months imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply cocaine.

Kane, 43, who has addresses on St Andrews Road, Gorleston, and Coronilla Green, near the Hideout café, admitted two counts of being concerned in the supply of cocaine

One count referred to a separate operation........
