Jediah Clarke was an inmate at Wayland Prison when he persuaded girlfriend Sophie Emms - who had worked at the prison for more than two years - to bring in spice and cannabis to sell to fellow prisoners.

Clarke – who was described as the “commander in chief” of the operation – got Emms to get involved after the pair started a relationship.

The 43-year-old from London was jailed for six years and two months' in December last year after he was convicted of bringing or conveying a prohibited article, namely spice and cannabis, into prison following a 19-day trial in 2023.
