Agency warns of incoming drought as Norfolk urged to 'ditch the hosepipe'
Anglian Water has issued the plea as it looks to preserve stocks after the driest spring in 100 years and a prolonged period of higher-than-average temperatures.
The company is closely monitoring water levels and has not ruled out a hosepipe ban if the hot and dry conditions continue.

In the meantime, it is calling on people to reduce the amount of water they use.
Meanwhile, Norfolk farmers have been stopped from abstracting water for their crops this week as the situation deteriorates.
Yesterday, Thames Water became the latest firm to bring in a hosepipe ban covering four counties and 1.1m people.
Bans are also in force for customers of Yorkshire and South East Water.

The Environment Agency has said that five more regions could be placed into drought restrictions.
Forecasters say cooler and windier conditions are expected but further hot spells are still a risk in the east.
