Investigations are under way as photographs have shown how the pitches at Southtown Common in Gorleston have been "ruined" with significant damage caused earlier this week.

The damage shows what is believed to have been a motorbike, which has been recklessly driven across the pitches, cutting up the surface.

It is the latest body blow to Shrublands FC, after club officials discovered the damaged pitches on Thursday morning.

The damage is believed to have been caused on Wednesday, with the tyre tracks cutting up the grass pitches, leaving large indentations and trail marks behind in the surface.
