Pensioners angry at council for ignoring fears over deadly plant
Folk living at Bradecroft – a small retirement estate in Bowthorpe – have raised concerns that deadly nightshade is sprouting from the pavements just outside their homes.
They are worried about the harm it could cause to pets or their grandchildren if they accidentally digest it.

And they believe their fears have not been taken seriously by City Hall with no one investigating whether it is the potentially fatal plant growing in the authority-maintained paving.
The Bradecroft community are now calling on the council to send someone out to investigate the plant and do more to maintain the area.
