Killer remains on the run a year on from brutal daylight stabbing in city estate
The fatal stabbing of Oliver Payne in Paragon Place happened in front of horrified neighbours and passers-by on a warm evening last August.
The killer fled the scene and has managed to evade justice for 12 months.
But despite the murderer remaining on the run, officers have refused to name or provide a public description of the main suspect.

STALLED INVESTIGATION
Since the killing on August 2, 2024 the police say more than 35 witnesses have been interviewed and they are pursuing several lines of enquiries.
Yet the suspect – who officers know the identify of – has not been arrested.
In September a man in his 20s was interviewed at a police station in Stoke Newington on suspicion of assisting an offender by detectives investigating Oliver’s murder.
But since then, there have been no further updates.
