Homes set to be built on land with medieval links

City Hall has approved the scheme to build three two-bedroom houses in a car park at Bowthorpe Hall, lodged by developer Jon Piggin.

The site is believed to be where there was once a medieval village and Historic Environment Services has suggested an extensive programme of works to check the site for remains.

Norfolk County Council Historic Environment Services had previously flagged that the development could be built on archaeological remains.
