1. Plans revealed to continue use of garden centre

A bid has been launched to carry on operating a site near the city as a garden centre.

The applicant, Jonathan Cheetham, is hoping Broadland District Council will allow the long-standing use of Felthorpe Forest Nursery, near Horsford, to continue.

He has submitted a certificate of lawfulness application which, if approved, will give the property automatic planning permission, as the length of use as a garden centre would make it immune to any enforcement.

Agents for Mr Cheetham said the site has been used as a plant nursery - selling plants, shrubs and trees - for a continuous period, which is why they believe the application should be granted.
