From a "soulless" abbey to a time-wasting castle - here are five of the harshest Tripadvisor reviews of historic places in Norfolk.

Downham Market's clock tower is in the town square (Image: Chris Bishop) Downham Market is best known for the ornate clock tower which was presented to the town in 1878.

With its octagonal base and gas-lit dials, the clock soon became a must-visit.

However, some are not as easily impressed.

One reviewer said: "It is a focal point simply because there is very little else of interest in this uninspiring town centre."

One reviewer said there was "not much to see here at all"........
