Around 100 people gathered outside City Hall at 1pm today (Saturday, August 16) to protest.

The event was organised by activist group Defend Our Juries and follows protests held in London last weekend, where more than 500 people were arrested.

A ban on support for Palestine Action was implemented by the government last month when the group was proscribed as a terrorist organisation.

Attendees held placards with "Stop the genocide in Gaza" and "Free Palestine" written on them.
