Watch made by man who was brutally murdered in Norfolk goes up for sale
Lorenz Beha was a watchmaker who was born in Germany in 1825 and later moved to Norwich.
His career was short-lived as he was bludgeoned to death and robbed while travelling on a road between the north Norfolk villages of Tittleshall and Wellingham on November 18, 1853.
According to newspaper reports from the time, his body was discovered in a ditch by a local butcher and a witness came forward to say they had found a labourer named William Thompson hiding in a bush nearby.
