Spixworth Dental Surgery patient left in pain for six months
Tanya Reed visited Spixworth Dental Surgery in March when she was told she needed to have three fractured teeth removed.
Although the practice had been her NHS dentist for more than 20 years, she discovered she would have to pay £577 to have the work done privately.
She said: "This is due to Spixworth Dental wanting to charge their NHS patients private costs for anything more than a filling."
This compares to the £326.70 it would have cost her on the NHS, but Ms Read said she would have qualified to have the work done for free due to a medical condition.
