Norwich dad still recovering from life-threatening illness taking on marathon
Tait Pollack, from Norwich, is still suffering with swollen limbs after being diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs and legs four years ago, forcing him to become nearly bedridden.
Mr Pollack, who is the CEO of Pivotal - a digital marketing agency based in Red Lion Street - said his legs "doubled" in size and he was unable to walk to work.
But the 40-year-old is now taking on the London Marathon and raising money for the Feed, a charity which is particularly personal to him.

He said: "I grew up with my sister and we lived in a council house with my mum near Anglia Square.
"It was just us three, my dad wasn't around.
"We got by on just a tin of beans and a loaf of bread some weeks.
"We didn't have branded clothes or expensive food.
"What I like about the Feed is that they provide all those household essentials and give people a dignified shopping experience.
"My goal is to get the marathon done, prove I can overcome being unwell and raise money for a great cause.
"I have a 12-year-old son who is really supportive and will often run with me."

Mr Pollack became unwell in June 2021 and only started to recover nine months later.
But even though his inferior vena cava, the largest vein in the human body, is still completely blocked, he isn't letting this define him.
He said: "60pc of my normal veins still aren't in use.
"During my recovery, I started being more active, and I would do small exercises, mostly using my arms.
"I then started building up my stamina with walking and then running.
"I joined Endorphin Run Crew.

"I would wear compression socks to help reduce the swelling in my legs.
"Initially, I wanted to run 5km, but since then I have completed my first 10km, which was Run Norwich last year."
Mr Pollack will take part in the London Marathon on April 26.
