Mr Wickes lived at the property in Spynke Road, Mile Cross, with his partner Mandy, along with a young man and woman – believed to be their children - and two dogs.

It is understood Mr Wickes, who was in his 70s, had an accident five years ago when a tree fell on his legs, leaving him unable to walk.
